Here is a proposed linkshell rules for now for our shell! I'd like to hear feedback/comments and any other ideas you'd like to talk about or consider for it!

–Basic Rules–

*Harassing other members will not be tolerated. You will be given a warning at first, and can be removed from the shell.
*We strive to be a fair and rewarding linkshell! Do your best to participate with us as a group!
*Any LS mod reserves the right to remove a member if he/she feels they aren't pulling their weight in the shell. You will be given a fair warning and nobody is removed without my consent.

–The Points System–

Although, at this time in Final Fantasy XIV, there is a lack of content/need for a points system. I believe it would be nice to set one up, especially for future use events! I won't allow anyone at this time to earn more than a total of 20 points, and here's some ideas of ways you can gain them:

-Fully registering for this website (+1)
-Participation in a scheduled Leve Party (+1)
-Donating materials to the material bank [see below in LS vault for description] (+.5 pt)
-Further notes on this: You must donate materials in need. Will create a list of sorts to aide with this. If you donate a lot, you can gain up to a maximum of 2 points.
-Donating gearsets for the linkshell to use (+1 pt)
-Further notes on this: You must donate needed gearsets.
-Reaching Rank 30 / 40 / or 50. (+2)

–Our LS Vault–

At this current time, our linkshell vault can have two functions.
Gearsets
*Storing gearsets/equipment for jobs. We'd like to provide a feature to our members to be able to rent sets/equipment so as to make it easier for our fellow members!
-You can only have one gearset loaned out at one time.
-You must return the set within a three weeks time.
-The initial cost of a set is 3 points.
-Individual parts of the gear is .5 points.

Material Storage
*In order to aide our fellow members with a viable crafting option, the bank can also be used to store materials. These materials will help our crafters on the grind that is rank 50! Everyone is encouraged to help support this feature to help all of our members!
-There is no points used at this time for using materials. However, if you borrow, please use the materials!

Here are my thoughts on this… a point system is great but its gonna be keeping track of it is hell for whoever is in charge of it even if it is through a website its still a pain…

The vault thing… Return Items in 3 weeks? Ok so velveteen sets need to be returned in 3 weeks o.O crazy… I've had mine for almost a month now and I am not even close to being done with it… Maybe change this to "Must be returned when it is of no use to you anymore and not sold via bazaar/vendor." This way people dont always have to worry on a time limit.

The other issue is keeping track of gear and who has what at what time and when it needs to be returned and x=y but y = z k? Just making things confusing :-p

At some point might be a good idea to keep a list of what we have in the bank and try to keep it updated.

just some thoughts on it

I assumed the renting gear was for lower levels? Mainly to be able to level jobs to 25-30. After that, most people would need their armor for extended amount of time and it wouldn't make too much sense to rent armor, but maybe jewelry which we could have in abundance. I know it's annoying to hold on to my 6 jewelry items, let alone if I have a set for each class.

And is the donating items 2 points in total? or 2 points a month / week or something so we can keep earning points back?

Yeah, that was my thought, Mirale. I don't want people renting velveteen and stuff.

I kinda see where you're getting at zero, but, I don't think it'll be too bad. It's not like we're gonna have *tons* of gear and *tons* of people renting. It's just kinda a convenience thing, and the DKP on site is really nifty.

Perhaps when I gear gearsets up, we can keeping them longer via more points or something?

Maybe up to 2 points a week? Sounds fair

i think its a good idea about the vault, i have a bunch of random gear stored up that i will not use anymore or dont need/want to sell esp when its still difficult to see how much things go for with out an AH system so instead of it just sitting on my retainer id gladly just give the gear to someone that needs it. though repairs might be needed >.>

I think borrowing is a decent idea. If they need it more than three weeks they can buy their own set. Or perhaps re-check out the gear for more points.
